What is an air brick?
Usually a brick size block with holes through to the cavity which is embedded in a wall to allow ventilation through it. Click here is see a picture of an air brick.
Cavity wall total area
This is calculated by the following:
(Front width of property x height of property wall) +
(Rear width of property x height of property wall) +
(Right side width of property x height of property wall) +
(Left side width of property x height of property wall)
Please do not include any garages as these are usually a single layer brick wall.
Cavity wall depth
This is the gap between the inner and outer walls of your property. This can be found by placing a measuring device into an air brick or drilling a hole through the outer property wall.
Existing loft insulation thickness
Please measure your existing loft insulation.
Required loft insulation thickness
Total depth of loft insulation required.
Depth of joists in loft
This is measured from the top of the joist (highest point) to the base of the joist which is fixed to the ceiling below.
Loft Area
Calculated by:
(Width of the front of the property) x (Side length of the property)
Do you have boards in your loft?
Does you loft have a walkway of approximately 2ft which our installer can walk on?
If not, there will be a charge of £45 as the installer need to bring his own walkway.
Is a frame required?
A frame will be required if we can not stand on your conservatory roof. This is an additional cost of £90.
Can we climb on your conservatory roof?
We may need to climb on you conservatory roof during fitting you cavity wall insulation, will this damage it?
